The Dunlop FFM1 Fuzz Face Mini Silicon is a super compact effect pedal based on the Fuzz Faces from the 1960s. That warm, authentic vintage tone is all yours with this groovy pedal, and thanks to its compact size you can easily take it everywhere with you and have room left over on your pedal board!
Ultimate authenticity
The Dunlop FFM1 Fuzz Face Mini Silicon houses its hand-soldered circuit in a beautiful, rugged metal housing. Every part of the pedal, from the input and output to the transistor, was designed and produced with the utmost care. The FFM1 also features true bypass, which means your original guitar sound won't be affected when the pedal is off.
Small but sweet
You can expect a compact, comprehensive pedal with the FFM1. Bells and whistles would only get in the way, and that's why it features just two controls - one for volume and one for the overdrive. Besides that, the pedal also has two 6.35mm jacks.Still, it's everything you need to create that warm, vintage '60s fuzz sound!

Ik heb deze (FFM1, de donkerblauwe) en de Jimi Hendrix-versie (FFM3, de turquoise). Toegegeven, de JH heeft véél betere clean-up en beduidend meer output/bass, maar toch is de donkerblauwe mijn absolute favoriet gebleken!! Zijn gruizige en heerlijk onvolmaakte fuzzklank is exact wat ik in mijn hoofd hoorde. Pro tip: met een licht oversturende OCD (of gelijkaardige) "britse" stijl van overdrive erachter kom je héél dicht in de buurt van Jimi's 1970 liveklank!

De knoppen lijken overbodig en kan teleurstellen bij het eerste gebruik. In feite moet de gain knop zo goed als maximaal staan en controleer je de gain met gitaarvolumeknop. Geen knop voor toon, bias, etc. Maar het geluid is gewoon heel goed. Een lange sustain, mooie low end, en heldere crispy bovenlaag. Dat geluid is af en voor die prijs vind je moeilijk een beter fuzz geluid.
